Global Talent Track launches Talent Valley Project with
University of Kashmir in Pune |
| |
GTT has partnered with University of Kashmir (UoK) to launch the Talent Valley Project – the Employability initiative in a suite of career oriented programs in IT & ITES sectors, today. The State of J & K is rich in heritage, endowed with natural beauty and has produced many captains of the modern economy, but still is disconnected from the other knowledge power houses of the country.
The State’s Chief Minister has envisioned producing 5000 trained, employable personnel in this sector in the immediate future. And in line with this, GTT has custom made its initiative of training the youth of Kashmir in the sectors of IT & ITES, and provided them with the option of getting trained in Pune or Kashmir.
The commencement of the Pune initiative for the first batch of 100 students will go a long way in achieving GTT’s goal of creating the right environment for the knowledge sector to flourish in Kashmir. GTT will provide technical training and facilitate industry projects for them in Pune, along with internship and placement assistance. And simultaneously pursue this in Kashmir for the ones who want it made available in their hometown. |

The programs proposed will involve training in domain, business skills, project practice and internships with Indian and Chinese corporates.
A batch of working professionals from Suzhou -China is already in Pune for undergoing a 10 day India Immersion program that includes training on Project Management techniques and corporate interaction sessions to expose them to the Indian IT industry. GTT plans to expand this initiative to cover students from 50 universities in the Shanghai region shortly. |

Employability in 24 hours
Global Talent Track has always built its strength in the area of employability and towards this initiative it had launched yet another opportunity to provide career preparatory workshops helping individuals in becoming industry-ready by equipping them with relevant competencies that go beyond an academic qualification. Students had the opportunity to undergo the talent assessment test either at their college campus or at our GTT Global Educentre for a basic fee.
On the basis of this assessment, the students who cleared the cut off percentage were selected to undergo the “Employability in 24 Hours” workshop. This workshop focussed on interview preparation along with CV creation as per industry standards, Special workshop on Project Drill, Special Sessions by Industry Experts from leading MNC`s as well as a refresher on industry requirements thereby helping them put their best foot forward for the live interview with a leading MNC on the final day of the program. Our value proposition was to give them free training and making them “Employable in 24 hours” The process for the initiative was as follows:- Talent Assessment Test, Test Report & Counselling, Free Interview & Skills Workshop and Job Interview. |

YES- Youth Employability Support
YES was a unique social initiative aimed at engaging various people from different segments of the society, in terms of age, backgrounds, socio-economic strata and various others, in order to generate awareness about employability amongst the students of Pune. This initiative not only focused on spreading awareness but students were also offered a free employability test followed by a developmental plan to become more employable and transform this into employment opportunities with our clients. Students became more aware of how employable they are and how they can improve.
Eligible students were also offered suitable job interviews. This was an event which engaged all segments of the society in spreading the awareness about ‘employability’. Through this initiative we helped in creating an impact on the lives and careers of more than 10,000 students across Pune City. |
